Okay, is it me, or is Sharon powering her airship with - slave labor? Or maybe indentured servitude? And even if she is, how is she feeding the giants? Food for them would have to take up a massive amount of cargo space.
Let's just say the Jotunn are working off a bit of debt for Thrud and her family.
As for the food... well, if you guess they each do the work of (ballpark) 10 men, that's 20 men Sharon would have to keep around and feed if it weren't for them. And they probably have to resupply now and then.
Or maybe there's a handy ever-filling gruel dish on board! Or a sheep you can eat every night so long as you don't break its bones. They are in the world where magic is alive and well...
