With Jude not showing up on video, do the cameras have mirrors as part of their focusing apparatus or is this a separate effect of vampirism? The coins seem to be highly useful tools and/or weapons. Hayaka seems to have been badly off base about them binding Jude's spirit. Do other vampires have similar talismans associated with their turning?
Jude is mostly not showing up on video because he doesn't want to. He's been around long enough to master many kinds of magic beyond the normal vampire lineup of skills.
As for the coins... he's made a point of learning to use them to his advantage. He might still be in trouble if someone got hold of all 30 and had some means to destroy them, but doing so would be a whole lot trickier than just filching his necklace. Hayaka's white ball is an easy target by comparison.
Other vampires don't have similar talismans as a rule. There's some vampire lore in the Thunderstruck world I'm keeping close to my chest for now.
No worries! I enjoy going into the details that don't necessarily fit in the flow of the story. One thing I forgot to mention is that the T.E.A.M. cameras are tuned to pick up vampires... but again, Jude is another level of trouble even they aren't cut out to deal with.
Oh my gosh! I am teary eyed upon finding this comic again. I followed this story years ago and I remembered a farewell from the cast. I am overjoyed to great them again. Thank you for not giving up on this wonderful story.
