Time to finish off the prison break...
For Gail, the whole "what would Jesus do" question starts to take on all sorts of new and spooky meanings.

Hm. Here's how the scene could have ended:
GAIL: I know how His story ended. I don't... I don't want to die like that.
JUDE: Not to worry.
GAIL: Huh?
JUDE: That story was the *first* coming. You're the SECOND coming. It doesn't have to end the same way at all.
GAIL: Really?
JUDE: No. You just need to resurrect the dead, judge everyone, and set up a kingdom that will have no end.
GAIL: Maybe that whole cross thing isn't so bad after all.
One thought that comes to mind about the Crucifixion - Jesus might have been intending to turn himself in to the Sanhedrin and/or the Romans, adding another layer to his self-sacrifice. If so, Judas' betrayal didn't doom him, just diluted the Redemption. So far as I can tell, it's not inconsistent with the Gospels, although maybe it's inconsistent with what we see from Jude in Thunderstruck.
