Comic 773 -- They Come Storming Back

It's a about momentum...

And weather conditions. It's also about weather conditions.

Everybody hanging in there? Hope so. We're almost through this year. Not that we have any guarantees for 2021, but damn... this has been a rough one.

Will you honor your promise, or is your fur coat about to get the worst static cling ever?
Love how this wrapped up, nicely done.

Seven Macaw is so cute. I hope he comes back.

I had a parrot once. I found her to be deeply entertaining and, in her own way, quite affectionate. She was also perpetually mystifying.

I think ultimately there are bird people -- i.e., people who get birds in the way I get dogs, cats, and (to some extent) horses -- and I didn't turn out to be a bird person. But I am grateful for our time co-habitating with that little parrot, and I think of her fondly every time I draw Seven Macaw.

(She was a blue-headed pionus, in case you're curious:

As for whether Seven Macaw will be back, or whether he will meet the fate that losing captains in the Sacred Game traditionally meet... well, I've got an answer coming for you in the next strip.

We can only hope that John Cleese shows up in next month's installment. "This Macaw is no more! He has ceased to be! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! If you hadn't electrocuted him, he'd be pushing up the daisies!"

Well, Sharon was gambling that he would stun easily.

I think I'd try rolling 7-Macaw instead - the weight of lifting one side of him would have to be less than the friction of dragging him. Although I'm fairly certain that the Sun players are trying this as well.
