Hmm. Maybe the curse of vampirism was partially caused by some sorcery that Judas had been dabbling in intersecting with the Crucifixion and/or the Last Supper and/or the betrayal?
Also, with Jude calling Jesus "brother", and both of them having substantial supernatural power . . . Is he working up to saying that the two of them are the ends of the last string?

Perhaps this can go similar way like they did in Dracula 2000.
I also like that his "brother" is portrayed very similar to what the historians agree to be instead of attractive, white, tall and with blue eyes.
